CUNY Building Performance Lab (2006-2008) [Link]

This series of facilities, located at City College, City Tech, and other locations, will serve as a resource for research and education initiatives related to green and high performance buildings. Robert E. Paaswell (City College) and Michael Bobker (CIUS Senior Fellow); funded by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.

High Performance Infrastructure Guidelines (2005) [Link]

CIUS contributed funds for student interns to assist with the development of this groundbreaking report. Hillary Brown (CIUS Senior Fellow), the Design Trust for Public Space and the New York City Department of Design and Construction.

CUNY Sustainable Building Initiative (2004-2006)

CIUS and the CUNY Graduate Center co-sponsored a daylong conference on “Fostering a Sustainable Construction Industry.” Out of this effort grew an initiative to pull together CUNY’s diverse resources to provide education and training to the region’s Sustainable Building Industry, and to serve as a catalyst for the adoption of greener design, construction, and management practices.
